Promoting Membership Signup, Especially for organizations that support a space or experience
Early in January 2022 I took my 10 year old son out for a morning of disc golf on a public course in the area. When we arrived at the first hole we found a new sign that directed us to a daily pass or annual membership. The sign also highlighted that this is a suggested donation. This connected the dots for me that the awesome course is made possible by membership and donations. As there is no "front desk" or staff the signs nudge and direction is key.

I took out my phone and scanned the QR code (I could have used the link alternative of course) it immediately presented me with an option for a Day Pass or Annual Membership.

From there I received an onscreen message and an email confirmation which directed me to visit a local business partner of the organization, at my convenience to show my membership confirmation and pick up my free annual membership tag. This is a win-win for the nonprofit and the business partner in getting more support and more potential customer traffic. The confirmation email is easy to edit and use to highlight membership benefits, offers at local businesses as well as a link that could point back to the website for current membership benefits, creating more reasons for your target audience to come back to your website AND share it with others.
